About Us

The Port of Yamba Historical Society Inc. was formed in 1981.

Our Vision is to serve the community of Yamba as a non-profit making, permanent institution open to the public for the purpose of study, education and enjoyment by acquiring, conserving, researching, communicating and exhibiting the material evidence of the people and environment of Yamba.

Our Mission is to increase understanding and knowledge of Yamba and Districts and to preseve the past for future generations.

Accessibility

Yamba Museum is committed to providing access to exhibitions and activities to people with a disability.

  • All gallery spaces are wheelchair accessible.
  • Accessible toilet.
  • Wheelchair accessible parking can be arranged with prior notice.

Seating is available in gallery spaces.

Group Tours and School Visits

Special arrangements can be made for visiting coach tours and community groups and schools who wish to visit the Museum during and after normal opening hours.

Coaches and Groups requiring morning or afternoon tea during their visit will be charged $8.00 (this includes entry as well as food) otherwise the normal entry fee of $3.00 applies.

There is unlimited parking for coaches. Bookings for these activities are essential.
