The Old Kirk

Yamba's former heritage listed Presbyterian Church has found a new home alongside the Yamba Museum. The Church was built in 1921 in response to a growing Presbyterian population and was last used in 1999.church restoration

The dilapidated 88 year old building was donated to the Society by the current landowners and moved from Wooli Street on 11th May 2009.

After a decade of meetings, planning and finally restoration made possible through a Federal Government grant, the oldest remaining church in Yamba has been incorporated into the museum as The Old Kirk.

This unique cultural exhibition and celebration space is available for hire to community groups and individuals for exhibitions, meetings and small special events such as wedding and baby naming ceremonies.
