Special Exhibition
Rivers, Roads & Rail - a regional exhibition trail
Rivers, Roads and Rail is the largest ever collaborative, regional exhibition trail in New South Wales.
Visitors are invited to follow the trail of over 20 exhibitions through museums on the North Coast. From the Tweed River Regional Museum display RIVER BOATS AND PILOTS: Navigating the mighty Tweed to the Glenreagh Museums display TIMBER GETTING & DAIRYING: Early industries in the Orara Valley.
Each display tells part of the diverse and dynamic story of settlement of the Northern Rivers region from the 1860's and the important role of industries such as timber, dairying, fishing and sugar cane in shaping the environment and community that we live in today.
The Port of Yamba Museum display features SAFE PASSAGE: Pilotage on the Clarence River.
