Yaegl Elders afternoon of storytelling
As part of our growing collaborative relationship with the local Yaegl community, Yaegl elders such as Uncle Ron Heron have generously agreed to share their stories and also talk about their joint project on bush foods and medicines with Macquarie University. There will also be aboriginal music and dancing – a mini-cultural festival in fact!
You are cordially invited to join us at the museum on Thursday 11 July from 11am to 2pm for a delicious lunch and an afternoon of story-telling, music and dance by members of the Yaegl community in the lower Clarence Valley. A gold coin donation will fund improvements to our display on local aboriginal heritage and culture.
