Great news – the Shed project is finally happening!
Finally, finally, after 15 long and frustrating months of negotiation between the Society, Clarence Valley council and the NSW Lands Department, work has begun on the construction of a storage shed behind the museum!
Once completed we can begin the process of de-cluttering the Collection Store-room in the museum. This will improve the environment in which we store our precious collection as well as making it easier to store props between exhibitions and our stock of publications. The Rotary Club will also regain the storage space that they have so generously made available to us till now.
None of this would have been possible without the patient persistence and dogged determination of our President, Marea Buist in pursuing this matter.
It is suggested that in honour of her efforts that this storage shed be namedMarea’s Shed!
